We use it to run the Service, not to train public AI models, not to sell to advertisers. You can delete your account and data anytime by emailing us. We keep your conversations only as long as you use the Service. If you're in California, EU, UK, or certain other places, you have extra legal rights described below.
This Privacy Policy describes how Roger Grubb, a sole proprietor doing business as Number One Son Software Development, located in California, United States ("we", "us", "our"), collects, uses, and shares your personal information when you use My Very Own (myveryown.page and related services, the "Service").

Your conversations are processed by Google's Gemini API to generate AI responses. When we send a prompt to Gemini, we transmit the conversation context (your message, the persona's system prompt, and relevant memory from prior conversations) to Google's servers.
Per Google's Gemini API terms for paid usage, your conversation data is not used to train Google's public AI models. Google may retain prompts and responses for abuse monitoring and to meet their own legal obligations. See Google's Gemini API Terms for details.
We also use Cortex, our own memory layer (hosted on Railway), to store long-term conversation memory so your AI companion remembers you. Cortex is a first-party system — your memories stay within our infrastructure and are keyed to your user ID.
We share your information only with the service providers that actually run the platform:

We may disclose information when legally required (e.g., court order, subpoena) or when necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of the Service, our users, or the public.
In the event we are acquired or merged into another entity, your information may be transferred to the new owner, subject to this Policy.

The Service is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are under 13, do not use the Service or provide any information to us.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child under 13 has provided personal information to us, please contact us immediately at rogergrubbrealestate@gmail.com and we will promptly delete the account and all associated data.
Users between 13 and 17 may use most personas with parental permission. The Scarlet persona and other 18+ content are only available to users who affirm they are 18 or older.

No system is 100% secure. We will notify affected users and applicable authorities promptly in the event of a data breach involving personal information, as required by applicable law.

We do not use third-party advertising, analytics, or social media tracking cookies. We do not participate in the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework because we don't need it.
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies. Blocking essential cookies may prevent the Service from working.
Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. Because there is no common industry standard for interpreting DNT, we do not currently respond differently based on DNT signals. We treat all users the same and don't use third-party tracking regardless.
The Service is operated from the United States. If you use the Service from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the U.S. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer. For EU/UK users, see Section 7.2 regarding safeguards for international transfers.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. For material changes, we'll notify you via email (if we have your email on file) or by posting a notice on the Service at least 14 days before the changes take effect.
